Enfant Soleil is a non-profit organization that, since 1988, has mobilized people across Quebec to ensure that children have access to the best possible healthcare throughout the province, by supporting the hospitals and organizations that care for them. The role
Reporting to the Director, Communications and Community Relations, and working within the Communications and Engagement Vice Presidency, the person in this role will actively contribute to raising the profile of Enfant Soleil by supporting communication strategies, public relations, and high-impact media and philanthropic initiatives.
In the context of a maternity leave replacement, this is a key role requiring someone who can step into ongoing files, collaborate closely with multiple internal teams and external partners, and ensure professional continuity across major projects. The Senior Communications and Public Relations Advisor will support Enfant Soleil’s mission, notably by:
- Implementing communication and public relations strategies;
- Actively contributing to major visibility projects (announcements, events, campaigns, Telethon);
- Maintaining strong relationships with internal teams, external suppliers, ambassadors, and media collaborators;
- Ensuring rigorous, consistent execution aligned with the overall communications strategy.
Corporate communications and public relations
- Writing and producing corporate content (press releases, PR tools, institutional copy);
- Managing media relations and ensuring proactive media monitoring;
- Identifying opportunities for media coverage;
- Supporting corporate announcements (grants, appointments, inaugurations, special situations).
Strategic project coordination and management
- Supporting internal teams (campaigns, events, partnerships, marketing, donations) in ideation and deployment of communication initiatives;
- Contributing to the planning and management of high-visibility projects (e.g., provincial announcements, Telethon, shoots, hospital visits);
- Ensuring message consistency, adherence to timelines, and smooth collaboration.
Ambassador and spokesperson relations
- Building and maintaining relationships with ambassadors and host groups;
- Coordinating their involvement in projects and events with the relevant teams;
- Contributing to a professional and human experience aligned with Enfant Soleil’s values.
Your experience
- University degree in communications or a related field;
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in communications, public relations, or a similar media environment;
- Excellent French writing skills, with clarity, rigor, and strong messaging;
- Proven experience in project management;
- Comfort working in highly visible and sometimes sensitive media environments;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ease with collaboration tools (Monday, an asset).
