Because of illness, Édouard, an Enfant Soleil from the Montérégie region, did not have the chance to experience his prom like other students.
In June 2025, while he was waiting for a heart transplant, an initial alert suggested the big day had arrived. In the end, the procedure did not take place at that time. During this waiting period, he also went through other important milestones of adolescence in a different way, including this long-awaited prom: no tuxedo, no photos with friends, no dancing, and no memories of this special day.
At the most recent Telethon, we wanted to play with time and offer him this moment.
With the help of his loved ones and a surprise carefully prepared in secret, Édouard was able to experience the prom he had missed. A simple moment filled with smiles, emotion, and a lot of love.
In the end, Édouard had no idea what was coming, and the surprise worked perfectly.
