Spotlight on a project promising beautiful things on the horizon
Disability, autism and rehabilitation programs
Turning a physical therapy room into an adapted gym at the Lévis CISSS service point will make it possible for children and adolescents with physical limitations to receive physiotherapy and occupational therapy in a rehabilitation environment better suited to their needs. The $25,000, jointly donated by Enfant Soleil and Santé Québec* was used, among other things, to supply the gym with specialized equipment such as walkers and training stairs designed for children and for targeted interventions in a safe, stimulating and fun environment.
This new space will give many families greater access to services closer to home, which will significantly lighten their load when it comes to organizing care and follow-up appointments. The different teams will also be able to work together directly on-site to improve the quality and continuity of the services offered up until adolescence.

Bryson Isabel, Enfant Soleil for Chaudière-Appalaches
Bryson and his family are brilliant ambassadors who courageously share their story and reality.
Vanessa and Alan’s happiness was shattered when their son Bryson was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis, a genetic disease causing respiratory and digestive problems and requiring daily care. Worried and overwhelmed, they began learning about this rare disease and its impacts on Bryson. After an adjustment period, they established a strict daily routine of treatments and medications while keeping an eye out for invisible dangers that could cause complications for their son. Fortunately, thanks to a revolutionary treatment, Bryson’s quality of life is improving. For Vanessa and Alan, the important thing is to enjoy the present moment and not let themselves be consumed by uncertainty about the future. A little warrior with an infectious smile, Bryson reminds them every day that, even if life comes with hardships, it still deserves to be lived to the fullest.
