In the eye of: Patrick, member of the Planned Giving Expert Committee

October 6, 2025

Member of the Planned Giving Expert Committee since 2018, Patrick shares what drives his deeply meaningful involvement.

“My wife and I have two boys, aged 11 and 12. We’re fortunate to be healthy, active, and to enjoy sports together. It’s something I never take for granted. In my work as a financial planner, I often meet families who are going through very difficult times, sometimes due to illness. It always brings me back to what truly matters: health, family, friends… and how much solidarity can make a difference.

Since 2018, I’ve been part of the Planned Giving Expert Committee. It’s my way of giving back, using my skills. But really, it’s much more than that. It’s about being part of a movement that tangibly changes lives.

The children we meet through this journey… they never cease to amaze me. Their courage, their ability to smile even in the face of illness. It puts so many things into perspective. It inspires me.

I’m proud to contribute, yes, but above all, I’m grateful. Every time, I’m reminded that we’re all in this together, and that every gesture, no matter how small, truly matters.

Planning a gift isn’t just a financial decision. It’s about leaving something that lasts, something that brings hope and comfort to sick children and their families. And honestly, it’s simpler than you might think, yet it can make a world of difference.

Thank you, Patrick, for your invaluable involvement. It reflects the power of community and reminds us that every gesture, big or small, carries hope.
