Charles is 11 years old. And for him, moving for the cause just comes naturally.
He took part in the Gran Fondo last March—and he can’t wait to do it again:
“I feel lucky to be able to ride, it’s really fun. Events like this inspire me. I love everything about it, which is why I’m doing it again this year. And it’s for a good cause. I’m healthy, and it makes me sad for them… it should be the same for all kids. I mostly do the Gran Fondo to help children who are sick. I’m happy to take part. Imagine being in their place… you’d want help from Enfant Soleil, so we have to take part to help.”
Simple words. Powerful impact.
Because for Charles, helping others just makes sense.
What if we followed his lead?
Across Quebec, people are getting active, each in their own way.
In Mascouche, for example, the Aquatic Centre is teaming up with Enfant Soleil to host a one-of-a-kind event: 18 hours of swimming in support of children living with illness.
This April and May, let the rhythm of the Country Challenge sweep you off your feet. Share your love of dance while making a difference for children, a wonderful way to come together for an afternoon or evening.
“For the past 17 years, we’ve had the incredible joy of organizing a special evening where we celebrate our love of dance while making a meaningful difference for sick children across Quebec.
It’s an experience that goes far beyond dancing. Every step, every smile, every note of music supports an essential cause,” shares Denis Henley, organizer of the Grand Country Pop Challenge.

This year, pickleball joins the movement with two inspiring new initiatives:
- A 12-hour non-stop challenge in Quebec City at Espace Pickleball, an unforgettable experience from evening into the night, where participants come together with a shared goal of raising $30,000.
- The Donna Vigneault Pickleball Tournament in Lévis, bringing together players of all levels in a warm yet competitive atmosphere, with a fundraising goal of $10,000.
Many are also lacing up their running shoes to take part in events like themed races and the Montreal Marathon, all in support of children.
At the end of the day, it’s not about how you move.
Whether you dance, swim, run, or ride, what matters is moving with purpose.
Because when we move for children, every action counts.
