CISSS de l’Outaouais
Some children face challenges from a very young age that require personalized and stimulating interventions to support their development. Early screening of certain health issues or developmental delays makes it possible to refer families to services adapted to the child’s needs early on. Thanks to joint funding from Enfant Soleil and Santé Québec* totalling $135,000, seven adapted rooms will be set up in several CISSS service points in the region to support the Agir tôt (acting early) program. This project will give more than 9,800 children ages 0 to 5 access to welcoming environments designed to support their overall development at a crucial moment in their lives.
Featuring safe furniture, modular layouts and a reassuring atmosphere, these spaces better suited to group interventions will encourage the children to participate and will ensure their well-being while expanding and diversifying the services available to little ones and their families.
*2025–2026 funding made possible through an agreement initiated with the ministère de la Santé et des Services sociaux.
